28 week appointment

I had my 28 week appointment at the OB today...hello third trimester! It's hard to believe I have entered my last trimester of my last pregnancy. I am in the home stretch!! I am a little sad, but mostly excited about meeting our little guy.

He is doing great, measuring a little bit ahead (but he does have a tall daddy). Everything looked great with me as well so we are thankful! I got to have an ultrasound today, which is always fun to see him on the big screen.

He was face down so it was hard to get many good pictures. This is blurry, but you can still make out his little face.  He is already measuring 2 lb 11 oz! Hard to believe that in a couple more months he will be here!

28 weeks!!!

I am 28 weeks pregnant today! Time is flying by and while I cannot wait to meet our little man, I wish it would slow down because I am not ready yet!! Still so much to get done!

He is very active, although not as active as Caroline was.  I am craving sweets lately as well as fruit.  I am sleeping fine but it does take a while to get into a good position.

Adam has been feeling him move a lot and it's to the point where you can see my belly move. I am loving feeling these movements and will miss that part of pregnancy the most.

The girls are excited about their baby brother but they still wish he was a girl at times! They know his name and it is so sweet to hear them say it.

I go on Monday for my glucose test, which I am expecting to fail since I have always failed the short tests. Fingers crossed though. We are starting work on the nursery next week and I think it will be precious...stay tuned for that!

Our son

I was in shock when I found out we are having a boy. I was 100% sure it was a girl.  Girls come in threes afterall...  Once we settled into the idea of having a boy, we began to think of the perfect name.  The problem was that none of the previous names we liked seemed to work.  I am always amazed at the people with "stock names." They have a girl name and a boy name and once they find out, they have the name already picked out.  I need to think about THIS baby...not just a hypothetical boy or girl.  It's a longer process for me, and Adam too.

I have always loved the name Henry. I had a grandfather and a great uncle with that name.  It's become so popular though and I wanted something a little less trendy.  I also had a grandfather named Harry, which I love.  Adam had a grandfather named Harold, so we used the Harry/Harold name as our starting point.

Since this baby will be our last (unless God has other plans, our plan is to be done) and thus our only son, we liked the idea of using part of Adam's name, Adam or Kent.

After much though about our sweet baby, we have decided his name will be.........

Harrison Kent Israel

We cannot wait to meet Harrison in a few more months!

Sandestin 2014

Adam attended the ADLA annual meeting in Sandestin, FL this year and we got to tag along.  We spent a few days at the beach enjoying the sun, sand, lots of seafood, NOT unpacking and doing laundry, taking afternoon naps, and enjoying  being together.  We stayed at Baytowne Wharf in the Market Street Inn and we LOVED it.  There were so many things for the girls to do!  I cannot wait for our next beach trip!

Caroline's McWane Fourth Birthday Party

We celebrated Caroline's fourth birthday with a party at McWane.  It was the easiest party ever.  Caroline chose who to invite and what to do at the party.  They offered several program options, but she didn't want any.  She strictly wanted to "eat cake and then play."  Done and done!!  McWane handled everything.  We showed up, ate, played, and then left.  Caroline loved every second of the party.  She has been asking for a McWane party since before she turned THREE so I was happy to finally oblige.

Happy Happy 4th Birthday beautiful girl!!  We love you more than you will ever know.  You are so smart and funny and have the kindest heart.  You love your sister and your friends so much.  You give the best hugs and kisses.  You make me smile every day and I adore you.  Being your mommy is my favorite thing!

Done Deal!

On May 27th, Adam and I became the new owners of a beautiful new house.  We are still in the middle of a million projects and have a trillion boxes to unpack, but we have a HOME so it's all okay!

Dance Recital!!!

Our precious Caroline had her very first dance recital on May 24th.  She has been taking dance all  school year at BDT and had Ms. Lacie as her teacher.  We adore Ms. Lacie!  Caroline truly loved going to class each week and we cannot wait for next year.  Ann Parker is going to be taking in the fall as well!

BDT separates their recital into three different shows.  Caroline was in the "Baby I'm a Star" show, which is for the 2-5 kids.  All the numbers were adorable, but Caroline's class was the best.  I am not saying that because I am biased either...her class was objectively the best :)  She did the entire dance and even smiled during the show.  She is a natural!

Getting ready to head to the BJCC.  They stopped for a quick pose with Asher, their little stud of a cousin.

I only snapped a couple of pics, but we weren't allowed to use flash and I wasn't too concerned with the camera settings.  I purchased the professional video so my pictures didn't matter too much!

After all the dances, each class took a bow and received flowers.  They stood there for a second and then walked off so the next class could take their bows.  Caroline decided to disco dance during the bows.  It was hysterical.  She is not afraid of the stage, that's for sure.

I had several more pictures on my camera, but they seem to have gotten deleted...or moved.  Either way, I cannot find some pictures.  Here is what I do have.

I couldn't be more proud of this little girl if I tried.  She is so brave and talented and it made me so happy to see my girl on stage!  She is a beautiful ballerina!!

Catch Up Time!

It's been a while and I've been neglecting my blog...  Moving has been a pain and blogging took a back seat but there are plenty of things I will want to remember so I am going to play some catch up here!  I have several new posts coming too - so stay tuned!

Last time I blogged, we had just found out that we are going to have a baby BOY!!  We are still in shock but are very excited about our newest addition.  The day that we found out was a big day for us - we also closed on our first home.  It was a bittersweet thing, but I was glad to have it sold and I really think the new family living there will enjoy it.  That night I went out to celebrate the new baby/house closing by having dinner with some of my best friends.  I cannot even begin to express how thankful I am that I found this group of friends!

Caroline's class had Muffins with Mom the Friday before Mother's Day. I was so happy to have a special morning with my big girl!

C's class had a fun end of year party scheduled for the park...unfortunately it rained so they spent the day playing in the gym.  This is her (second) teacher of the year, Ms. J. Caroline loved her!

Caroline turned FOUR on Friday, May 23rd.  I had intended to document the day as I have done each year, but this year was a little different.  She had her dance dress rehearsal that morning and then we all came home to nap and rest before dinner. She got a new big girl bike and had waffles (her fav) early...but then we enjoyed a low key day.

Adam and I have taken the girls to The Club for their birthday each year.  It's a fun little tradition that we love.  It's just a special time for us to celebrate them with our little family.  Since we were staying with Adam's brother during that time, we invited Brandi and the kids to join us. It was wild and crazy, but we were happy to have family celebrate with us!

More to come!
