Halloween 2013: School Parade and Class Parties

Today the girls had their Halloween parties at school.  Caroline was so excited to go to school in her costume!!  She wanted to bring in her witches broom but I thought that it would end up being used as a weapon pretty quickly so it stayed with me.  After I dropped the girls off, I realized that I forgot to bring Caroline's treat bag so I ran to Wal-Mart to grab her a plastic pumpkin bucket.  I got back just in time to run it into her and find a seat.

I just LOVE Caroline's teacher, Ms. Lillian.  She was supposed to be in Ms. Ginny's class, but Ms. Ginny had to have back surgery so they called in a long term sub.  I am sort of hoping she just stays the whole year...  Caroline loves her and she is amazing with the kids.  That's her with the pink hair.  She dressed up today too!

After the parade, we went back to the classroom for the party.  I am one of the room mothers for her class so I got to help plan the party.  I think it was a success!!

After snack, Ms. Lyndsey same some songs with the kids.  I love that C and Ro are in the same class again.  They are such sweet friends and Lyndsey is an amazing parent to have in the class...she could sing these fun songs all day long!

Ms. Marcia, her teacher from last year, came to the party!!  Her grandson is in Caroline's class so she gets to see Ms. Marcia from time to time.

Sarah, one of the other room moms and an Israel family favorite friend, did a fun ghost craft with the kids!  I brought goodie bags, which I didn't remember to take pictures of but they were cute!

After Caroline's party, I ran to grab some lunch before I had to be back at PDO for AP's party.  As soon as she saw me she screamed and cried to get out of her seat.  She refused to sit for lunch.

But as soon as she saw the chocolate cupcakes, she wanted to sit and dig in.  Sorry for the blurriness - I forgot I had my camera on a different setting.

After lunch, she got to get up and show me some of her favorite toys.  She was jazzed up by this wipe.

She pulled all of those toys off the shelf in like 3 seconds.

We were all so exhausted by the time we got home.  Seriously, I am only blogging so that I don't fall into a deep sleep for the next 10 hours.  Here are some pictures I snapped the other day of some of the Halloween things in our house!

Here are the crafts the girls made yesterday at the party.

Caroline is really into Halloween this year so we had to put out some ghost napkins and pumpkins!

We have some spiders all over the house!!

Lots of lots of Halloween art!  We are running out of room to display it.

Caroline is watching disney junior and AP passed out.  What a long, long but fun day!!

Halloween 2013: Mama and Me Party

I am so thankful for all the events that allow us to get more than use out of our costumes!!  Today we had our mama and me playgroup costume party.  The kids played, ate, and made crafts (although this scatterbrain mama left theirs at the party...oops.).

Caroline changed her mind a lot about what she wanted to be.  I let her look through a costume catalog and she picked out a Marie Antoinette costume - seriously.  She then changed her mind to Tinkerbell, then a pumpkin (which she was last year), and then a witch.  Witch seemed to stick for a couple of weeks so I went with that.  I showed her TON of cute witches costumes - some with tutu's, some with sparkles, some with cute stripe leggings, some with bows...but no.  She found this plain black witch costume and decided that's what she wanted.  I was disappointed for all of .5 seconds, until I saw that this costume was only $11.99...way, way less than the cutesy stuff I was suggesting.  So it was a win-win!!  And let's be honest, she is the cutest little witch ever!

Ann Parker was easy.  When ever she plays dress up, she always puts on her bee costume from her party.  C was a bee when she was the same age two years ago, but she wore this fleece body suit.  I decided we would do a bee - but even better because we have a warm weather option and a cold weather option.  And you never know in Alabama what you are going to get.  Last year was freezing and today it supposed to be 80!!

Halloween parade and class party are tomorrow and then Halloween on Thursday!!  Stay tuned!

Pumpkin Patch 2013

We once again traveled to Harpersville to Old Baker Farm to go to the pumpkin patch.  I look forward all year to the pumpkin patch.  It's one of my favorite traditions we do as a family.  This year was extra fun since Mimi and Papa came with us!!  The weather was perfect.  The kids were happy and sweet the entire time we were there.  We all came home tired and stuffed - a sign of a good time had by all.  Already cannot wait to go back again next year.  This is going to a picture overload but we had so much fun and I clearly needed pictures of it all!

AP loved the little tractors, just like her big sister!

Caroline got to climb a tree!

My girl is gorgeous

This girl got to "climb" a tree too...or just be held in the tree

This is the first year that Caroline really enjoyed the big trailer of cotton.  AP wouldn't go near it.

Also, it was the first year that she got to ride the horse!!  She LOVED it.  His name is Cherokee.

AP got to sit on Cherokee as well for a quick pic

Seeing the animals is always a big hit

Two of my favorite people - so sweet!

Great day for the pumpkin patch!

Caroline climbed the hay mountain with the help of this super nice boy

Swinging on the horse tire swings while waiting for the hay ride

Shoulder rides!!

Not sure what the face is about...

The girls made some new friends with the family that was in line in front of us.  AP decided to hitch a ride ;)

We searched and searched for the best pumpkins

She picked her favorite

Hay ride back to the farm...tired and hot

And not wanting any more pictures

So glad they could join us this year!!

All our pumpkins helped make our front door look great and fall-ish.  Hopefully this is our last fall season in this house so it's nice to go out with a bang!
