Around here lately...

Here's what's been going on around here lately:

I went on a girls weekend to ross bridge with four of my best friends.  LOVE these girls so much!

Caroline graduated preschool.

She also had her last spring soccer game and the coach awarded her as the "most cheerful" player.

She also celebrated her fifth birthday on her recital day!!

Harrison played the part of a baby doll.

We visited McWane where AP milked a cow.

We had a girls weekend and went to see Frozen on ice.

Busy, busy around here!!!

Summer time!!

Whew!! Summer 2015 has started off with a bang!  Three days in and I am exhausted.  We spent Monday at the zoo, the park, and at a friends house.  Tuesday we went to a chuck e cheese birthday, planted some flowers, and went out for a fun dinner and shaved ice dessert.  Today we had a pool morning.  I hope all our summer days aren't so jam packed - I will be worn out!!  We are enjoying our time together so far (granted it's only day 3).

Happy summer!!

Last Day of School

Somehow another school year passed and on Friday, May 15 the girls had their last day of 2 yr old PDO and 4K Preschool at TCDC.  Both girls had such a great year!!

Here are my sweet girls on their last day of school.  Caroline had pajama day and AP had a class party (the 4K had their end of year party earlier this month).

Big girls are headed to 3K preschool and Kindergarten.  Both of them are moving to a new school - AP is going from the PDO to the TCDC (same church and building - just different sides) and Caroline will be at a whole new school.  Harrison will also start toddler PDO in the fall so all three of my babies are making big transitions in the fall.

Preschool Graduation

On Thursday, May 14, Caroline graduated from 4K preschool at Trinity Child Development Center.  We have been so pleased with TCDC and are so thankful for the amazing care she got there.  AP will start there in the fall and we are so excited!

I was dreading this day - my first baby was hitting such a big milestone.  She is now heading to "real school" and it's a little sad to think that she won't have as much time with me during the week.  I can't help but wonder if I did everything I was supposed to with her - did we have enough lazy at home days?  Did we do enough art projects?  Did we read enough books?  Did we have enough play dates?  Did we spend enough time together?  Our days together are numbered and I just hope that I made these last five years as wonderful for her as she made them for me.  I love this little girl so incredibly much and I am so honored to be her mommy.

But I digress...the day came and I was prepared for tears.  Luckily, I held it together and got to enjoy watching my sweet girl graduate from preschool.

I did almost cry when I saw this sweet thing walking in...She was so proud and waved to everyone the entire way down the aisle.

After the ceremony they had a reception in the Fellowship Hall.  We loved getting to celebrate with our new graduate :)

Caroline with her amazing teacher, Ms. Sherry.  She was such a God send to us this year.  She taught Caroline so much and was such a perfect fit for our girl.  Ms. Sherry had a sad year (her adult son passed away in early January) yet she was still able to be a consistent teacher who brought so much joy to the children she taught.  I am truly amazed at her strength.  I am so glad that Caroline was put in her class this year!

And that's a wrap - our girl is officially a Kindergartner!!

On the day you turned three...

My precious Ann Parker,

You turned three on Monday, April 20, 2015.  At some point during the night you came into mommy and daddy's room to snuggle.  And then you turned sideways and kicked me out of the bed.  You do that often ;)

You took some chocolate chip cookies to share with your class.  After school we came home and played.  You wore your new Sofia dress that your friend Anna Glenn gave you.  When we got home we were surprised with birthday balloons from your best friend Brooklyn.  You have the sweetest friends!!

You played with Caroline.  It was the most beautiful day so you spent a lot of time outside.

You picked almost all the rose petals off of the rose bushes.  You called them fairy dust.

We ate some of your favorite foods for dinner - macaroni and cheese, peas, and little smokies.  After dinner we went for frozen yogurt.  You got vanilla with gummy bears.

You had a happy day.  I am so glad that I got to spend the day wih you!!

Ann Parker's Third Birthday Popsicle Party

On Saturday, April 18, we celebrated Ann Parker's upcoming third birthday with a popsicle party at Overton Park.  It rained all week prior, but her party luckily happened during a break in the rain.  She loved seeing her friends and eating popsicles.  Happy third birthday to my very sweet, sassy, funny, loving, happy little girl!!

We found these cute popsicle bubbles - perfect party favor!!

Georgia, Ann Parker, and Anna Glenn - three besties from school.

Even though the weather was less than perfect for an outside play day, we were so blessed that so many friends came to celebrate our sweet girl on her special day!
