Daisy has gone bananas!

Since Halloween is coming up, Daisy decided to try on her costume for this year! She's going to be a little banana!!

Doesn't she look like she loves it??

She also has a ladybug costume and I was considering getting a ladybug costume for Caroline so they could be twins this year...then I found some adorable infant costumes so now I can't decide if C should be a lobster, a peacock, or a pizza slice (or about 100 other adorable things!!) I know what you're thinking and yes, I am going to get new hobbies that don't involve putting my dog and my baby in costumes - but not today :)

Happy Birthday Adam!

I know this post is a few days late...but last Tuesday (the 24th) was Adam's 27th birthday!! We had a wonderful dinner with Adam's brother and our neice. Happy Birthday Adam!! I hope that 27 is a great year for you and that you get all you wished for. Caroline and I love you very much!

Caroline is just stunned that her daddy is 27...he doesn't look a day over 26!!!

Caroline + Raughley = Love

A few days ago we had dinner with some of our favorite friends. We just love going to the Wise's house because the company is great and also because Raughley is so adorable to watch with Caroline. I am so excited to watch them grow up and play together over the years.

He found Caroline's nose for her

And he found her little piggies!!

Happy Birthday Bob!

This afternoon Adam, Caroline and I had the pleasure of visiting his cousin, Bob, for his 73rd birthday. This was the first time that Bob and his lovely wife, Betty, had met Caroline. The afternoon was wonderful - we met a bunch of Adam's cousins (well, I met them...Adam just visited with them), ate a TON of great food, and just enjoyed having others hold Caroline so we could eat a meal at the same time :) Caroline just LOVED Bob!! She was so calm when he held her. It was a perfect afternoon!

Bath Time for Caroline

Caroline just loves taking baths so it's always a great opportunity for some cute pictures! I'm going to miss when she's bigger and I can't bathe her in the sink anymore!!

Getting ready for the bath...I just couldn't resist that adorable booty!!

Enjoying kicking in the water

Getting all clean!

All done!

These past few months almost seem like a blur. It's hard to remember her as a tiny newborn and that makes me so sad!! I have to keep telling myself to enjoy every tiny moment we have with her at this stage (which is why I take a billion pictures of her every time she takes a bath!! I apparently need to remember EVERY bath). I just love this baby so much and wish that I could slow time down!

Sophie

When Adam and I were registering for baby things we were told that we HAD to have a Sophie the Giraffe toy. "Everyone" had one. We had never heard of it and we really couldn't figure out why it was so cool, but we figured that we didn't know anything about babies so we had better just get one to be safe. Caroline's Sophie was a gift from her Aunt Katie. Caroline has just now started having any interest in it (but then again, she's only three months old so she's just now started having any interest in anything). Lately, she's has been holding, shaking, and sucking on Sophie. She seems to love it!!!

Here's Caroline when she was just a few days old with Sophie. She wasn't too jazzed up her then...

I can't believe that she was so little!!!

Yea Alabama!!

We are so excited about the upcoming football season!! What's not to love - cooler weather, tailgating, football food, cute crimson outfits... I am so pumped that Caroline will be able to come along with us this year. She does look adorable in crimson :) Last week Caroline and I had lunch with a college friend of mine, Amanda. Not only was she sweet enough to buy me lunch (next time is on me!!!) but she gave Caroline some cute Alabama attire.

And look at this cute little diaper cover that came from her Mimi and Papa (Adam's parents)

My girl was meant to be a Bama Baby!!

One door closes...

Today was my last day at work. I have been excited about this day for the longest time. I have been in the same entry level position and have been ready for something more for some time now. I couldn't wait to do something bigger and better. So, one would think that today would have been a great day. I was quite surprised, however, to find that it really wasn't. It was sort of sad. I am not going to miss what I did on a day to day basis, but I will miss the people I worked with so much. I'd been there for close to three years - so these people gave me advice when I was planning my wedding, buying my house, and having my baby. So many big events happened to all of us while I was there. We became a family (albiet a dysfunctional family at times) and I will miss them. I know it's time for this door to close, I just wish that didn't make me as sad...

Daddy's Girl

Caroline is already a little daddy's girl. She can be super fussy but the second Adam takes her she calms down (atleast for a minute). I went to run some errands this weekend and left C with Adam. When I came home this is what I found...

They were just watching tv together. It was adorable.

Later that day they were playing together in her room. I wanted to join in, but C just wanted some daddy time. Look how she goes from happy to annoyed. Apparently I was not invited! I just love them both so much! Adam is the best daddy in the whole world :)

Three Months Old!!!!

Three Months Old - August 23, 2010

Today Caroline is three months old! I still cannot believe it. It seems like we just brought her home yesterday. We didn't have a three month check up with the pediatrician so I don't know how much she weighs or how long she is. She'll have another check up next month though. She certainly has grown since last month!! She's been eating more at each feeding (sometimes up to 6 oz.). She now officially sleeps through the night and we couldn't be more excited!! She has only had a couple of nights where she's gotten up in the past few weeks. She's still wearing a size 1 diaper and mainly 0-3 month outfits. She still smiles and coos all the time and it's my favorite thing. She's been pushing up on her arms a lot and really wants to roll over. She's getting closer and closer!!! I took about a million pictures today and she just wasn't in the mood...until her clothes came off!! This little girl LOVES to be naked!

Happy 3 months Caroline!! You are the sweetest little baby and I love you so much! Each time you go down for a nap or when you go to bed for the night, I hope that I am the one closest to you when you wake up just so I can get your first little smile. You simply are the best thing in the world and the best addition to our family!

I put her in this adorable giraffe dress...but then she found her feet and wouldn't look at me!!

Cute Caroline

Caroline smiles ALL the time. It's the most adorable thing I've seen. Every time she starts smiling I go and get the camera. As soon as she sees the camera she stops smiling!! This is the closest I have gotten to a real smile on camera. It's still pretty cute so that's okay :)

Here are some other cute pictures just for fun. We have a fun day planned so I'm sure there will be more to say soon!

We bought her a mirror and she just stares at herself and sticks her tongue out.

Rolling Over...almost

Last week I went back to work. I have missed Caroline so much!!! Every morning I have to struggle to make myself leave the hosue. I know I am only at work for a short time, but, with a few minor exceptions, I haven't really left her since she was born, so it has been hard for me. I've been so afraid that I would miss something big - like rolling over or laughing. Sure enough, when I came home on Wednesday Adam told me that she really wanted to roll over. She came close but still hasn't been able to master it. I hope that she doesn't get it until August 27th because my last day of work is the 26th!!! I just can't stand the idea of missing these moments with her!!!

I think I want to be on my back...

Ok...slide down

Dang! That silly arm is in my way!!

She is just growing so fast and every day she seems to be doing something new. Next week she'll be three months old. Where has the time gone??? How did she get so big so quickly?? I keep reminding myself to cherish every moment with her because they go so fast. It seems like just yesterday she was teeny tiny...

Uncle Neal

Tonight our sweet friend Neal came to eat dinner and visit. Caroline had been having a rough day all day and still wasn't feeling too great, but Neal seemed to have the magic touch. Once he held her she immediatly relaxed and fell asleep in his arms.

Who thinks Uncle Neal should have a little baby of his own??? I do...

Weekend Visitors

This weekend my dear friends Cassie and Candice came to visit us. We had a wonderful lunch at La Fiesta full of catching up and laughing. Cassie and Candice used to work with me but Candice went back to school and Cassie moved to Texas (and soon I'll be gone!!!!). We don't get to see each other as much as we'd like but we always have a great time when we're together.

They came to see sweet little Caroline, but Daisy thought they were here for her!! I can't wait for our girls trip in October!!

Happy Birthday!!!

This past Sunday Mary-Scott (our niece) turned 12!!! We had a fun family party for her, complete with a delicious cake...

And how do we celebrate birthdays in our family?? Why, trick candles of course!!

For her birthday she got some kisses from cousins

New clothes

Books

and a CELL PHONE!!!

She now offically has a cooler phone than I do. Happy Birthday Mary-Scott!! I cannot believe you are 12!! We all love you very very much!!!!!!

Big Day

This morning at 8:30 I was not feeding my little Caroline like I've done nearly every day since her birth. I was back at work. After 12 weeks I returned to my job today. However, at 8:30 this morning I was telling one of my bosses that in a few weeks time I am resigning from my position. It's official...this is the beginning of the end of my time there! It is certainly a bittersweet feeling. I am so excited to be doing something new and more meaningful to me, but I will miss some of the people that I work with. I've been there for almost three years - I see these people more than I see my own family!! It is time for me to move on though. I am just so thankful that I have a husband who truly wants me to do whatever makes me happy - and I am so blessed that his career allows me to do so. Let the countdown begin...

My Sweet Girls

Look mom, I'm cute when I lay on this too!!!

She's already addicted to "reality" tv...she's her mommy's girl for sure!!

Caroline's First Service Project

This morning Adam, Caroline, and I went to the Wylam Public Library in Fairfield to volunteer at the Rotaract School Supply Give Away. We got there and helped stuff bags with paper, folders, pencils and other school supplies. We were supposed to be there from 8-12. From 8-9 we were going to be making bags and from 9-12 we would be handing them out. The school supplies got there a little late so we had all the bags stuffed in 25 minutes. The line started forming a little before 9 and everyone worked so hard to get the bags passed out and by 9:30 we were completely done!! We passed out supplies to over 100 students. Several people came after we were done and we had to turn them away. It was a great experience and I hope that we get to do it again next year!!

Stuffing bags before everyone arrived

Caroline was such a great helper!

Hair Bows

I have started putting little bows in Caroline's hair. She looks so adorable!! I just love all the cutesy stuff that comes along with having a little girl. We (actually just me, C slept the whole time) had such a fun time picking out bows at the store.

In other Caroline news, she's been taking a morning nap and an afternoon nap each day. It's been great. I've gotten so much done. Her naps range from thirty minutes to two hours so hopefully they'll get more regular and predictable soon. I also love that after each nap I get to walk into her room and look over crib and get a huge smile. It just melts my heart. She's not smiling here, but she's just hanging out in her crib when she should have been sleeping :)
