Life's a Beach

A couple of weeks ago the four of us packed up and headed to the beach for several wonderful days. Adam works a lot - weekends, nights, on holidays, etc.  Having his undivided attention is such a big treat and we certainly took full advantage!

I was too busy enjoying time with my family to take a ton of pictures, but here are some of our first day.

She put Adam's glasses on while we put our sunglasses on.

Ann Parker enjoyed tons of beach naps.

Relaxing in the sun.

Caroline loved building sand castles.

Caroline LOVED the pool - she would have stayed out there all day.  She loved playing in the sand, but cried when we brought her close to the ocean.  After a lot of convincing from daddy and lots of tears from Caroline, she ended up in the water at one point and was laughing and having a great time...until she got close to the shore and realized she was tricked into getting in and started crying.  Maybe next time!  She did love eating all the seafood.  Her favorites were sauteed crab claws and fried oysters.

Ann Parker was great on this trip!  Her schedule somehow did not get interrupted at all.  The sound of the ocean served as her noise machine and she napped so well at the beach.

The best surprise by far was that my brother and sister-in-law were also at the beach and we got to spend sometime with them.  Well, I guess that wasn't the best surprise but more on that later...

It was a little sad to come home after such a fun week filled with seafood for every meal, perfect weather, and time with my three favorite people.  I am already looking forward to our beach trip next year.
