Last Day of PDO
On Friday, May 18th, 2012 Caroline had her last day of PDO for this year. We have really enjoyed Miss Morgan and Miss Lisa as her teachers. She had so much fun and loved playing with all her new friends. I am so thankful to have found a program that she loved so much!

On the day you turned two
Caroline,
You turned two on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. We celebrated your birthday the weekend prior at your party (post coming soon) but still had lots of fun on your actual birthday.
You woke up and got to watch as much Mickey as you wanted. You wanted to watch it with your sister, so we let you...
Ann Parker clearly was very interested in Mickey as well :)
After two episodes of that, we ate breakfast. I made you waffles and we cut up some watermelon - two of your favorite things right now.
After breakfast we all got dressed and went to the zoo with Sarah, Sydney, and Brooklyn. Sydney is one of your favorite friends! You two had such a fun time!!
It was such a hot day!! After we walked around and saw all that we wanted to see, we went to the splash pad. You loved it. You were running and jumping and laughing the whole time!
After we left the zoo we ate lunch with our friends at Jackson's in Homewood. We had such a fun, busy morning so you crashed as soon as we headed home...
We all layed down and took naps but soon enough you were up and ready to go! We spent a while playing outside with the sand. You really enjoyed pouring cupfuls of sand onto the patio.
We enjoyed most of the afternoon outside. When it was time for dinner we got cleaned up and dressed and met Daddy at The Club for dinner. You ate edamame for appetizer (one of your new favorite things - you could eat these all day!), pizza for dinner, and ice cream for dessert. You enjoyed visiting the fountain and looking at the beautiful view. Of course I spent most of dinner saying, "I cannot believe that this time two years ago we were being wheeled into our post partum room." or "Right about now two years ago I was...(fill in the blank)." What wonderful memories I have of that day!! I am sure that every year you will hear me say something similar :)
By the time we got home it was just about bed time. We had such a wonderful time and it was a great way to start your third year of life. I hope that you had fun baby girl!!

Sibling Comparison
Each of my girls at one month.
Caroline has a lot more hair and a cone head, but other than that I think they look alike. What do you think? (I must say that C's cone head went away soon after this picture and she now has the most beautiful shaped head!!)
Beautiful babies!!!

Ballet, Bourbon, and Bowties...and Bubbles!!
This past year I served as the treasurer for the Alabama Ballet's Junior Board. We worked hard to put on a new event - Ballet, Bourbon, and Bowties. It was a great success and so much fun! We had only been home from the hospital for a day and a half, but I was determined to go and I am glad I did. My mom stayed with the girls for a few hours while Adam and I had a bit of grown up time. The event was a Derby party complete with pony rides for kids, live music, a bar, food from Ashley Mac's, hats, and watching the races of course! It was so much fun and we cannot wait for next year!!
And while we gone, Caroline enjoyed some naked bubble time with her bubble machine! It was a great afternoon for everyone!
More new posts below...and lots more coming soon! I finally uploaded pictures from the past 6 weeks!

First Bath
As soon as Ann Parker lost her umbilical cord we were ready to give her her first bath!! She got her first bath on May 6th, 2012. She was unsure at first, but then she seemed to really enjoy it! She has enjoyed many more baths since her first one.
One Month Old!!
One Month Old - May 20, 2012

Our precious new little girl is one month old!! (Actually 6 weeks now that I am so far behind!) What an exciting month it has been. I feel like we are finally getting settled into some sort of a routine. Things are still pretty hectic, but we are getting there... :)
Ann Parker is such a sweet little baby. She is very mild tempered and doesn't often cry - only when she is very hungry or needs a new diaper and who can blame that? She is an excellant sleeper. We are only getting up once during the night. She will eat around 11:00/12:00 and sleep until 6:00 am! After Caroline and her sleeping habits, we are very excited about this! She is also a good little eater. She is not, however, the best nurser so I am pumping around the clock which isn't always fun but it's worth it. She takes 2-4 oz. during the day and about 5 oz. at her midnight feeding. She has a little bit of reflux so she's starting some zantac to help with that. She is growing like a little weed! At her one month doctor appointment she weighed 7 lb. 7 oz. (10th percentile), was 21 inches long (50th percentile), and had a head that was 13 3/4 inches (10th percentile). Dr. Wilson was very pleased with how she was growing and so are we!
She is still wearing newborn size diapers and clothes. She's just a tiny little doll! She likes bath time, Nuk paci's, her bouncer, her swing (but only when it's on the swinging motion, not the cradleing motion), and she love love loves to be held. This isn't always easy when her big sister demands so much attention!!
Happy One Month Birthday sweet Ann Parker!! Mommy, Daddy, and Caroline love you so much. You are a wonderful addition to our family. I cannot wait to see your little personality as you grow up (but not too fast, please). Will you be shy? Or outgoing like Caroline? Will you be calm and easygoing like Daddy? Or a little less calm like Mommy :)? No matter what, you will be loved. You are such a blessing in our lives and we couldn't be happier you are here!!
And now for some outtakes...

What a difference a pound makes...
I have a ton of things to blog about once I upload pictures from my camera, but until then - enjoy this!!
Caroline was 6 lb 2 oz at birth. We thought she was so tiny!! When AP started measuring on time and even ahead of schedule, I was expecting a 7 or 8 lb baby. I couldn't have been more wrong! Ann Parker was a mere 5 lb 3 oz!! That one pound makes quite a difference!! We saved the ankle bracelet from both girls for their baby book. We decided to bring out C's to compare. The one on the left is Ann Parker's and the one on the right is Caroline's. Same foot, big difference. If you can't tell, the next picture is AP's sitting inside C's. I wonder if she will be tall like her daddy and big sister or small like her mommy. Only time will tell!!
