Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!! I am so thankful for my three wonderful Valentines!

We originally had plans to go out to a nice dinner but since we were all feeling a little under the weather we cancelled our reservations and decided to have a low key evening in. We curled up on the couch after dinner with a blanket, box of tissues and some decongestant. It was picture perfect :) Aside from stuffy noses and coughs, it truly was a wonderful day with our little family.

Breakfast Time!

Every morning C wants to hold something while waiting for her breakfast. I usually put her in the highchair and get her breakfast ready and she's fine as long as she's holding something. That something changes from day to day. One day it was the bottle nipple (not the full bottle), the next day it was safety goggles, this morning it was a comb. If she forgets to bring something in the kitchen with her she gets mad. I'll try to give her something to get her mind off it, but she's picky in what she wants to hold. She's a silly little thing. Here's C showing off her comb.

Newest Discovery

Caroline has discovered Daisy's bowls! She's not too interested in the dog food (yet) but she likes the noise they make when she pushes them around. She's crawled by them several times and never seemed to notice until yesterday.

Poor Daisy. Caroline seems to take all her things. She's such a good sport about it though!!

Mama & Me

One of my favorite things about staying home with Caroline is that I get to do fun things with her, like go to Mama & Me play group. Once a week we get to visit and play with lots of other mamas and kiddos. Caroline loves going - seriously. She was being fussy this week but as soon as we walked in the door she became so happy. I love getting to spend time with other moms and get advice on feeding, bedtime, baby proofing, etc. and venting about crying fits, housework and husbands (not that we ever do vent about our husbands, it's just nice that we could...) :) We are just so thankful that we found a great group of friends and we love spending time with them!!

At M&M this week, Caroline fell in love with a hard hat. She was so interested in it. It was too cute. She would laugh hysterically every time she saw it. I'd put it on her head and she would squeal. I have the most adorable baby ever.

We think it's ironic that she loved the hard hat so much since one of her favorite things at home are a pair of safety goggles. Maybe she wants to do some construction work??

Pulling up and ready to go

My sweet baby is growing up too fast. She's been pulling up on everything and even trying to walk (holding onto stuff of course). She's only 8 months old and I am just not ready for this!

(Don't you just love how her hair comes to a point on her forehead? No matter what we do, it always does that!)

It's hard to believe that she was ever a tiny little newborn who couldn't hold up her own head. They just change so fast...

Sleepy Head

Last night Caroline fell asleep in her highchair waiting for her dinner. I gave her the bottle to hold while I got everything ready. By the time I got over to her, she was snoring! I had to wake her up so she could eat dinner and get a bath - but not before I took a few pictures.

Jailbird

The other day Adam and I had to lower C's mattress since she's pulling up now. (Seriously, she just started crawling and now she wants to leave this stage already!!) This is one of those parenting things that you just can't put off. It's not like the gallery wall for the nursery... (Don't judge me too harshly, I couldn't decide what I wanted to do on that wall until recently). Looks like we lowered it at the perfect time! C had never pulled up in her crib but we knew it would be coming soon. Today I walked into her room to see this:

The little stinker was peeking out waiting for me to come and get her!! She was crying at first and she looked like a little jailbird waiting to break free! Of course I made silly faces and then she thought we were playing a game. It was adorable.

Can she really be this big already?? How do I already have a baby that crawls and pulls up? Where has time gone?
