Ten Months Old!!!

Ten Months Old - June 26, 2015

We are now in the double digits and only two months away from being a toddler!!  Where has the time gone?  It's so bittersweet.  I just love watching this boy grow and learn new things, but I want to keep him a baby for a while longer too.

He is crawling everywhere and pulling up on everything too.  His crawl is so funny - one leg is regular and one is like a bear crawl.  He gets around fast so whatever works!  He can say "mama" now I think he understands that it is me.  I finally got a baby to say mama first!!  Woohoo!  He calls everything else "ba."  He knows his name and will turn around when called.  If you say "Where is mommy" or "Where is daddy?" He will correctly look at us.

He is still in a size 2 diaper and wearing mostly 12 month clothes.  He eats two decent meals a day and plays with the third.  He takes one good nap each day but the time varies depending on our schedule (poor third baby).  He usually sleeps through the night - finally - although a couple times a week he is up at 2:00 am and wants to eat and be held.  He is still a huge mama's boy but finally, after 10 months, he doesn't mind if Adam is holding him.  He has even started going to other people a little easier too.  When he is tired, I am the only one he wants though.

He loves to be outside - strolling, swinging, swimming, being on the deck, etc.  He LOVE the water!  He also loves his sisters, Daisy, anything with wheels, and all balls...typical boy.  His favorite toys right now are a little football and a car and a train toy.  He also seems to like all things he shouldn't play with like car keys, computers, remotes, plugs, etc.

He is the sweetest little guy and has the most infectious smile.  All of us (girls included) spend a lot of time each day trying to make him laugh because it's so cute.  I cannot imagine our family without him and I am so thankful to be his mommy.  Before he was born I would get so offended when people said "you can't understand a mother's love until you experience the bond between a mother and son."  I still think that's a bunch of bologna...I have experienced so much love with my girls and not having a son didn't make me any less of a mom.  But I will say...the mother and son bond IS different.  Not that I wouldn't have felt complete, but I am just very thankful that I get to experience this kind of bond.  It's precious and sweet and one of my favorite things.  I sure do love this baby boy!

Happy 10 months sweet baby boy!  We love you so much!
