Seven Months Old!!

Seven Months Old - March 26, 2015

My sweet boy is 7 months old - now closer to the big ONE than birth.  Holy Moly...time is flying by!  This month is very similar to last month, only a few new things to report :)

This boy is sitting up all by himself!  He is pretty sturdy, although he still tips over on occasion.  This has given him so much more freedom to play.  He LOVE sitting on his play mat or lamb mat and grabbing at toys.  It has allowed mama to get a lot more done around the house too - so win win!!  He also loves his exersaucer, go pod, toys with wheels (typical boy), his paci, bath time, anything musical or that involves his sisters.  I think the feelings are mutual as they love him too!

He is getting better about eating solid foods, but he is still not a big eater.  He has tried apples, carrots, pears, green beans , bananas, plums, oatmeal, cauliflower, and a few other things.  His favorite so far is carrots and apples.  He eats about 3-4 oz. at each bottle feeding, which I feel isn't a lot but he keeps growing so I guess it's okay.  He takes one morning nap around 10:30-11 and one afternoon nap around 3:30-4.  Both naps are usually about 2 hours but it can vary.  Poor third child is often napping in the car with big sisters always on the go.  He is a horrible sleeper and I hope it changes soon.  He is usually up with 10 and then wakes up around 1 and then again around 3:30ish.  He will wake up and want a little milk and then go right back to sleep.  I am trying to just give him the paci, rather than a bottle, although I really don't want him addicted to the paci.  He hates his crib and prefers to sleep in my arms or the rock and play.  I waited to move him to the crib until he was sleeping through the night - which never happened - so now he isn't used to it.  We have to let him fall asleep and then put him in the crib.  He will sleep about 45 minutes before waking up and we start at the beginning.  We did have one night where he slept from 10-4 in the crib before waking up.  It was a miracle!!!  It hasn't happened again but fingers are crossed!

He is wearing mostly 6-9 month clothes, but some 12 month stuff too.  His is long and lean, just like his sisters.  I am having such a fun time with little jon jons and boy bubbles.  It is a big difference after two little girls - everything had ruffles, bows, and lots of pink.

Harrison is pretty laid back.  The only time he really fusses is when he needs a new diaper or when he is tired - and then he is a bear.  He is a big time mama's boy, which is amazing.  He is just the sweetest little thing and we love him so.  Even though he doesn't sleep well and he only eats 4 bites of food before trying to spit it out, we are still so in love with this little man.  He is the perfect addition to our little family.

Happy 7 months sweet boy!!  We love you so very much!
